Stolen Vehicle Investigation Leads to Recovered Firearm

Region of Peel - Officers from 22 Division have charged a 23-year-old man from Brampton with firearm related offences.  

On Friday, February 14, 2020 at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers investigated a stolen vehicle in the area of Main Street North and Vodden Street in the City of Brampton. The driver was subsequently arrested and as a result of a search conducted a loaded firearm was located.  

Shakur Clarke was charged with the following offences:

1)      Possession of Stolen Property
2)      Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
3)      Occupant of Vehicle with Knowledge of a Firearm
4)      Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm without a Licence
5)      Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking 

Shakur Clarke was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
