Witnesses Sought in Fatal Collision

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking witnesses to a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Monday, March 11, 2019.

At approximately 7 p.m., the victim was operating a 4 door, blue, Infinity G35 northbound on Finch Avenue near Kenview Boulevard in the City of Brampton. For reasons yet unknown, the vehicle struck the curb and subsequently collided with a hydro pole located at the side of the road.

As a result of the injuries sustained from the collision, Pawandeep Basra, a 23-year-old man from Brampton later died at a local hospital.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information on this collision as well as those with dash cam footage or surveillance cameras, to call investigators with the Major Collision Bureau at  (905) 453–2121, ext. 3710.  Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
