Appeal for Witnesses in Fatal Collision

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in a fatal collision with a motorcycle and a vehicle in the City of Mississauga.

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at approximately 10:40 p.m., the victim, a 35-year-old man from Toronto, was operating his motorcycle eastbound on Eglinton Avenue East approaching the intersection of Matheson Boulevard in Mississauga.  The driver of a second vehicle was making a turn into a private parking area when a collision occurred.

The victim suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He was later transported to a trauma centre and on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, the victim unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

This investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision, has video surveillance, or dashcam footage in or around the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Matheson Boulevard between 10:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., to please contact investigators with the Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3710.
