Man Charged in Sexual Exploitation Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged a 40-year-old Mississauga high school teacher concerning a sexual exploitation investigation.

Between September and November 2019, the accused allegedly invited the young person to have sexual relations with him on a number of occasions, and the young person refused.  

On June 20, 2022, police arrested and charged Daniel Hayes a 40-year-old man from Guelph, for the following offences:   

  • Sexual Exploitation  

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

This investigation remains ongoing, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
