Multiple Arrests Made in Retail Robbery Investigation

Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police (PRP) have charged three young persons in relation to a series of retail robberies in Brampton.

Between Feb. 13 and March 10, 2025, several suspects committed nine armed robberies targeting retail establishments throughout Peel Region. Six of these robberies occurred in Brampton and three in Mississauga. In all instances, the suspects were armed with firearms and made demands for currency while utilizing a stolen car as their get away vehicle.

Following an intensive and efficient probe, investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau identified and located three suspects involved in these offences in the area of Martin Grove Road and Finch Avenue West in Toronto. The stolen vehicle used by the suspects was recovered and two replica firearms were also located and seized. As a result, the following young persons have been arrested and charged with multiple offences.

17-year-old from Toronto:

  • Robbery x9
  • Wear Disguise with Intent x9
  • Use Imitation Firearm x7
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order
  • Possession of Stolen Property

15-year-old from Ajax:

  • Robbery x9
  • Disguise with Intent x9
  • Use Imitation Firearm x7
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order x2

16-year-old from Toronto

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order x2

All three accused were on court ordered release forms in relation to previous various violent offences.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Persons charged in this investigation is protected.

The accused were held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

This remains an ongoing investigation, and investigators anticipate further arrests and charges.
