Suspicious Activity Results in a Loaded Firearm
Region of Peel -Officers from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau Break and Enter Unit have charged a 19-year-old man with numerous firearm-related offences.
On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 4:19 p.m., officers from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau Break and Enter Unit observed a male exhibiting suspicious behaviour in the area of Mississauga Road and Williams Parkway in the city of Brampton. Officers investigated the male, and as a result, a loaded .40 calibre Glock handgun was located and siezed.
Jaiden Campbell, a 19-year-old male from Mississauga, was charged with the following alleged offences:
- Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Restricted or Prohibited Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing it’s Possession is Unauthorized
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
At the time of his arrest, Jaiden Cambell was also wanted on an arrest warrant, resulting in two additional charges of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.
Jaiden Cambell was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in the city of Brampton.
At the time of his arrest, Jaiden Campbell was on a Release Order not to possess any weapons.
