Three Charged in Attempted Murder Investigation
Region of Peel - Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) have arrested three individuals in connection with a targeted shooting that occurred in Mississauga earlier this year.
On Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., a white Ford Explorer was allegedly pursuing a white 2025 Ford Bronco Sport occupied by two victims. The incident escalated on Southdown Road, north of Lakeshore Road West, where the suspect discharged nine rounds from a firearm into the victim’s vehicle. One victim sustained serious injuries the second was unharmed.
Following a comprehensive investigation 18-year-old Emmanuel Daniel of Mississauga, was arrested and charged on Oct. 7, with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Attempt Murder
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Selling or Possessing Counterfeit Marks
Daniel was held pending a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
On Oct. 29, 2025, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant, resulting in the arrest of two additional individuals:
Loreto Perruzza, a 55-year-old resident of Mississauga, was charged with:
- Obstruct Justice
- Accessory After the Fact to Commit Indictable Offence
Leone Francesco, a 34-year-old resident of Oakville, was charged with:
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Public Mischief – Make False Statement
- Accessory After the Fact to Commit Indictable Offence
Both Perruzza and Francesco were released on undertakings with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
