Man Charged in Sexual Assault Investigation

Region of PeelInvestigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged a former Sea Cadet instructor in relation to a Sexual Interference investigation.

It is alleged that in 2014 an adult Sea Cadet instructor entered into inappropriate sexual relationships with two female cadets who were youths at the time. 

On Monday August 1, 2022, police arrested and charged, Thai Dennis DUONG, a 31-year-old man from Brampton with the following offences:  

  • Sexual Interference
  • Sexual Exploitation

 

He will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.

This investigation remains ongoing, and investigators believe that there may be additional victims.
