Man and Woman Arrested in Stolen Motorcycle Incident

Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police Road Safety Services Unit arrested a man and woman who were found in possession of a stolen motorcycle in the City of Mississauga.

On Thursday, August 6, 2020, at approximately 11:50 pm a male was observed on a motorcycle in the area of Mavis Road and Central Parkway in Mississauga. Further investigation revealed the licence plate attached to the bike to be stolen.

During the arrest the officer was assaulted, the officer did not sustain any serious injuries during the arrest.

Anthony Chatzimanolakis, a 27-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime
  • Operation While Prohibited
  • Assault With Intent to Resist Arrest
  • Drive Under Suspension
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

Chatzimanolakis was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, August 7, 2020. 

Natasha Blazys, a 20-year-old woman from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with Obstruct Peace Officer, and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest. Blazys was released on an undertaking and will have a first court date in November of 2020.
