Public Assistance Sought in locating Offender

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau seek assistance from the public in locating, and identifying a suspect involved in a hate-motivated assault investigation.

On Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the suspect accosted the victim as he stood on the sidewalk in the area of Main Street North and Bovaird Drive in Brampton. The suspect uttered racial slurs at the victim and then assaulted him. 

The suspect is described as male, average build, wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, black Nike shoes, a tan baseball cap, and a navy backpack.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect to contact the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 2233. Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
