Public Assistance Needed in a Robbery, Attempt Murder Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from 22 Division, Criminal Investigation Bureau are appealing for the public’s assistance in a Robbery, Attempt Murder investigation that occurred in Brampton.

The victim and suspect, who are believed to be not known to each other, were at Duggan Park in the area of Ken Whillans Drive and Sproule Drive in the City of Brampton when an altercation occurred. 

The victim, a 56-year-old man from Brampton suffered stab wounds and was transported to a trauma centre.

The suspect fled the scene and is described as white, in his 30s, 5’9” to 5’10”, approximately 170lbs, with short buzz-cut hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and light-colored track pants, carrying a black backpack with the letters “JP” on it.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect to contact the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 2233.
