Arrests Made in Armed Robbery of a Pharmacy

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have charged four youths in relation to an alleged pharmacy robbery in Brampton.

It was reported, on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at a pharmacy located in the area of Main Street and Vodden Street in Brampton. Four suspects entered the business armed with knives, demanding prescription drugs from the employees. They obtained the property and fled in a stolen Ford Explorer. There were no physical injuries to any of the victims.

A short distance from the pharmacy, the suspects were involved in a collision with another vehicle. All four suspects fled on foot and were later arrested by uniform officers and the Canine Unit after a detailed area search. The stolen property from the pharmacy was recovered along with the knives used and other robbery-related property.

A 16-year-old male from Mississauga has been charged with Robbery, Wear Disguise with Intent, Possession of Stolen Property, and Breach of Probation.

Two 15-year-old males from Mississauga have been charged with Robbery, Wear Disguise with Intent, and Possession of Stolen Property. 

A 14-year-old male from Mississauga has been charged with Robbery, Wear Disguise with Intent, and Possession of Stolen Property.

All four young persons were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on April 23, 2021.

 A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person. Therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.
