Multiple Arrests Made and Stolen Vehicles Recovered Following An Auto-theft Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Commercial Auto Crime Bureau have charged three individuals in relation to an auto-theft investigation that occurred in Mississauga.

Between April 27-28, 2025, Peel Regional Police responded to two separate auto-theft incidents where a 2025 Honda CRV Grey in colour and a 2025 Honda CRV white in colour were stolen in Mississauga. 

On April 30,officers located one of the vehicles at an auto repair facility in the area of Hale Road and Bramsteele Road in Brampton and arrested three individuals for several auto related offences. 

On the same day, Investigators executed a search warrant for the premise resulting in the seizure of evidence and recovery of additional vehicles valued at $100,000. Evidence of tampering with vehicle identification numbers and re-vinning was located. Police recovered registration documents, stolen license plates, key fobs and seized an animal in need of protection who was given to the care of Brampton Animal Services.

Based on the investigation, the auto body repair facility has allegedly been involved in staged collisions resulting in information sharing with automobile insurance companies. 

Shan Nouri, a 20-year-old man from Mississauga, Syed Ahmed Shah, a 23-year-old man from Toronto and Enias Marunza, a 21-year-old man from Mississauga were arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime x4
  • Possession of Break-In Instruments
  • Possessing Automobile Master Key
  • Tampering with Vehicle Identification Number
  • Selling or Possessing Counterfeit Marks

All three arrested individuals were held pending a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
