Region of Peel – Officers from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance in an attempt arson investigation.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2021, just after 4:00 a.m., a lit Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of a residence in the area of North Park Drive and Nuffield Street, Brampton. At the time of the incident, there were four adults and two children present inside of the residence. Fortunately, the device did not explode and no physical injuries were sustained. This is believed to be a targeted incident.

Molotov cocktails consist of a glass bottle filled with a flammable liquid. If the device had exploded, it could have destroyed the home and placed the lives of all occupants at risk along with neighbouring homes and their occupants.
