Mississauga Man Charged for Assaulting a Stranger

Region of Peel – Patrol officers from 11 Division have arrested and charged a Mississauga man following a stranger assault incident in the Glen Erin area of Mississauga.

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, at approximately 6:13 p.m., the victim was present outside of the Meadowvale Community Centre area in Mississauga. At that time, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim using a weapon. There is no reason to believe that the attack was provoked by the victim. Both parties are not believed to be known to each other. The victim sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly after the incident, 11 Division patrol officers located and arrested the suspect, a 38-year-old man from Mississauga. He was charged for Aggravated Assault.

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice.
