Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a Mississauga man following a stranger sexual assault.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at approximately 4:00 p.m., an adult woman was at a restaurant at Meadowvale Town Center in Mississauga. The woman reported being approached by a man who began making unwanted sexual advances towards her aggressively. The accused continued his advances until restaurant staff intervened. Fortunately, the woman was not physically injured. The accused was subsequently issued a trespass notice banning him from attending Meadowvale Town Center for 1 year.

Two hours later, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the accused returned to the area, and a second incident took place in which it was reported that the accused entered a restaurant and allegedly tried to steal a bottle of alcohol. When asked to leave, a confrontation ensued, and two female employees were assaulted. Fortunately, they sustained no physical injuries.

Police quickly located the man and took him into custody. 21-year-old Oloruntimilehin OJEIKERE, of no fixed address, was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. He has been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Assault X2

Investigators have since linked OJEIKERE to other incidents in the area, which were reported as suspicious persons. There were no assaults alleged during those incidents.

OJEIKERE has been linked as a suspect in similar investigations from police services in British Columbia and Ontario.

Investigators believe there may be other victims/incidents involving OJEIKERE and are appealing to anyone with information to please contact the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-453-3311, extension 1133.
