Traffic Stop Results in Drugs and a Loaded Firearm

Region of Peel – Officers from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Uniform Patrol with the assistance of 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a Brampton man with firearm and drug related offences.

On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers from 21 Division uniform patrol conducted a traffic stop in relation to a suspected impaired driver in the area of Clarkway Drive and Castle Oaks Crossing, in the City of Brampton.

As a result, officers seized a loaded 9 mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic firearm and a quantity of illegal drugs.

Jonathan Pardassie, a 27-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with the following offences:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Occupant of Motor vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking

Johnathan Pardassie was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
