Police Issue Warrant in Mississauga Shooting

Region of Peel – Investigators from Peel Regional Police Criminal Investigation Bureau at 11 Division have issued a warrant for a male believed responsible for a shooting incident in the City of Mississauga.

On Friday, May 17, 2019, at approximately 10:32pm, an altercation took place in the parking lot of a local establishment, which is located in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Wolfdale Road in the City of Mississauga.

The suspect became engaged in a physical altercation with the victim who was also at the establishment. Once in the parking lot, the dispute escalated to the point where the suspect pulled out a firearm and fired multiple shots at a male and female. The victims did not sustain any injuries as a result of the shots fired.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 26 year-old Thutop Phuntsok, a resident of the City of Toronto. Phuntsok is described as male, Asian, 5’10”, short black hair, and was wearing glasses, a Champion brand track suit, and Air Jordan brand Nike shoes.
