Man Charged After Fail to Remain Collision

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have charged a man in relation to a fail to remain collision, that took the life of 32-year-old Colin Fisher.

On May 1, 2020, the victim was travelling eastbound on his bicycle while on Highway 7 in the City of Brampton, when he was struck by a motor vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render assistance to the victim and fled the area. Tragically, the victim died at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained.

On April 8, 2021, 47-year-old Theodore O’Leary of no fixed address, was charged Failing to Stop After a Collision Resulting in Death. Theodore O’Leary was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on April 9, 2021.
