Appeal for Witnesses in Fatal Mississauga Crash

Region of Peel– Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at approximately 12:30 a.m., on Winston Churchill Boulevard and Burnhamthorpe Road West in the City of Mississauga.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision within the intersection which sent a man and a woman from one vehicle to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and two men from the second vehicle to a trauma center. While being transported to hospital and with the best efforts of paramedics, a 34-year-old man from Mississauga succumbed to his injuries. The second man that was taken to a trauma center, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are appealing to anyone from the public who may have witnessed the collision or may have captured the collision on video surveillance or dash cam footage to contact investigators with the Major Collision Bureau at 905-453-2121 x3710.  Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
