Search Warrant Results in Illegal Firearm and Illicit Drug Seizure

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Vice, Narcotics and Street Level Organized Crime Unit have seized a quantity of illicit drugs and an illegal handgun as a result of a residential search warrant executed in the City of Mississauga.

During the evening of June 20, 2019, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the area of Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga. During the search, an illegal firearm, ammunition and a quantity of illicit drugs were seized.

A warrant in the 1st instance has been issued for Andrew Green, a 32-year-old male from Mississauga, for the following offences;

1)      Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

2)      Possession of a Prohibited Device

3)      Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition

4)      Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence

5)      Tampering with a Serial Number

6)      Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine

7)      Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Fentanyl

8)      Possession for The Purpose of Trafficking - Crack/Cocaine

9)      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
