Region of Peel – Members of the Peel Regional Police Service along with partner agency Mississauga By-Law Enforcement, commenced an investigation into “North Cloud” an illegal dispensary located in Mississauga.

On Wednesday May 13, 2020, officers executed a Cannabis Control Act search warrant at the location.  Four individuals were charged with various offences such as the illegal sale of cannabis, weapons offenses and failing to comply with an order made during an emergency.  Officers seized a quantity of marihuana along with several other cannabis related products that were packaged for sale.

Police would like to remind the public that it is illegal to sell or purchase cannabis from dispensary’s that are not authorized by the Province.  Individuals engaging in these activities may be arrested and could face charges under the 2017 Cannabis Control Act and the Criminal Code of Canada.

There is currently one authorized cannabis storefront retailer in the Region of Peel, which is located in the area of Main Street South and Nanwood Drive in the City of Brampton.  Any other individuals or storefront locations selling cannabis are committing Provincial and Federal offences.
