Arrest Made in Multiple Stranger Sexual Assaults

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged a male following multiple reports of stranger sexual assaults in the City of Mississauga.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., it is alleged that the accused attacked and sexually assaulted the victim, a female in her 30’s, after following her on his bicycle in the area of Monica Drive. 

On Monday, March 24, 2025, at approximately 5 a.m., it is alleged the accused attacked and sexually assaulted a second victim, a female in her 30’s, after following her in a black sedan in the area of Redstone Road and Homeside Gardens.

On Wednesday, April 2, at approximately 5:30 a.m., it is alleged that the accused attempted to pull a third victim into his black sedan, a female in her late teens, in the area of Redstone Road and Netherwood Road.

On Friday, April 4, Rick Junior Arson, a 26-year-old man from Mississauga was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Sexual Assault x2
  • Utter Threats to cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Kidnapping with the Intent to Cause a Person to be Confined or Imprisoned
  • Assault

Arson appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton and has been remanded into custody.

During the time of the incidents, Arson was on charge for similar offences that occurred in Timmins, Ontario in April 2023. He has since been convicted of those charges and is now awaiting sentencing.
