Arrest Made in Shooting Home Invasion
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have charged one male in connection to violent armed home invasions at residences in Brampton and Mississauga.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 12:30 a.m., at least three suspects forced their way into a residence near Glen Erin Dive and Burnhamthorpe Road, the City in Mississauga. The victim, who was present at the time of the incident, attempted to intervene and stop the home invasion. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and shot the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects fled the residence using a vehicle that had been previously reported stolen in Toronto.

In those home invasions, several suspects forced entry to homes and made demands for money, jewelry, electronics, and vehicle keys. One victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the robberies.
