Arrest Made in a Stabbing Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested an individual in relation to a stabbing investigation in Mississauga.
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, at about 6:20 p.m., the victim exited a transit bus near Eglinton Avenue and Hurontario Street where she was followed and stabbed by the accused in an unprovoked and random attack. The victim suffered near fatal injuries but is now stable and recovering in hospital.
On Monday, May 12, John Ralph Nuthalapati, a 30-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with Attempt Murder. Nuthalapati was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
