Peel Regional Police is investing in modern, purpose‑built facilities to support our rapidly growing community.  

These major construction projects will enhance frontline operations, improve service delivery and create a more connected, innovative and sustainable policing environment. Each new facility reflects our commitment to supporting community growth and strengthening our relationship with the residents we serve. 

Ongoing Improvements in Your Community

Here you will find information regarding some of the ongoing improvements in your community, including project overviews, building size and scope, construction timelines and expected completion dates.  

23 Division will be Peel Regional Police’s new modern facility at the northwest corner of Lagerfeld Drive and Mississauga Road in Brampton. This expanded division will strengthen our ability to deliver high‑quality, responsive policing as our community grows. 

The new building will support more officers than any current division and bring several units together, including uniform patrol, the Criminal Investigation Bureau, Community Intervention and Response Team, bike patrol, the Community Liaison Office and a satellite Divisional Mobilization Unit office. It will also include an accident reporting centre for residents. 

About the project

  • Two-storey building
  • 61,000 square feet
  • Construction began in September 2024, with work scheduled on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Expected to open to the public between late 2026 and early 2027.

The new Operational Support Facility (OSF), located at 8100 Mississauga Road north of Steeles Avenue, is a new Peel Regional Police project designed to enhance service delivery and support our rapidly growing community. 

Featuring a modern, sustainable design, the OSF will bring several key operations together under one roof, including the 9‑1‑1 Communications Centre, Community Safety Operations Centre, Data Analytics, Information Technology Services, Records Services, Road Safety Services and Community Safety & Well‑Being.

  • 250,000 square feet
  • Construction began in November 2024, with work schedule on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Expected to open between late 2027 and early 2028.

The Sir Robert Peel Centre at 7750 Hurontario Street in Brampton is undergoing a multi‑phase redevelopment to create a modern, efficient and environmentally sustainable facility. Originally built in 1981 and named after the Father of Modern Policing, the centre has long served as a hub for frontline officers and civilian professionals. The redevelopment will modernize the site while keeping all police services fully operational. 

About the project

Phase 1 introduces new specialized spaces for Forensic Identification Services, Detainee Processing, Records Information Management and administrative functions, along with improved site access and secure parking.

  • 130,000 feet
  • Construction began in July 2025, with work scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Expected to open between late 2028 and early 2029.

Phase 2 will deliver a new 22 Division, a new Corporate Development facility and expanded secure parking to support future growth. 

  • Five-storey building
  • 230,000 square feet
  • Construction is scheduled to begin early 2029 until 2033.

Peel Regional Police will continue to provide updates on construction progress as new information becomes available.

Contractors will follow all noise regulations and will not perform work outside permitted hours.

Traffic control measures will be in place to protect both residents and construction workers. Detours and alternative routes will be clearly marked when required.

Crews will work to reduce dust and debris throughout the project. Regular street cleaning will also take place to maintain cleanliness in the surrounding area.
