Peel Police - Witnesses Sought in Pedestrian Struck in a Serious Fail to Remain Collision

Brampton – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to a serious Fail to Remain motor vehicle collision that occurred in Brampton. 

On Friday, January 22, 2016 at approximately 6:40 a.m., the victim was walking northbound on Mclaughlin Road in Brampton. At the same time, a white cargo van struck the victim and then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a trauma centre in Toronto with serious non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or the actions of the driver and the pedestrian prior to the collision.

The suspect vehicle is a white cargo van with some type of side mounted racking system located along the driver’s side and no windows on the back doors. There will be damage to the passenger side mirror and the mirror may possibly be missing. 

The driver can be described as male, white, approximately 25-30 years old, medium build, medium length goatee.
