Welcome to "Cyberproofed?"!©

In July of 1998, Peel Regional Police formed one of the first municipal police Child Pornography Units in Canada. Investigators realized child pornography and luring of young people on the internet was a serious problem. At that time, PRP partnered with other community groups and formed the Internet Safety Committee, which to this day continues to function as the lead advisory group assisting in formulating PRP’s strategic response to youth and internet issues.

The Internet Safety Program called "Cyberproofed?"* has been designed to give students the necessary tools to help protect themselves from being victimized by predators on the Internet. Following these safety guidelines will also assist both students and adults from various other forms of victimization through the Internet.

"Cyberproofed?"© is designed for students from grades 3-10 inclusive, in three age-appropriate programs for grades 3-5, 6-8 and 9-10.
