Task 5 : Internet Safety Post-Activities

In this culminating activity, students will be evaluated on their knowledge of the Internet Safety rules discussed in the unit.

Post activities can be selected from the following:

  1. Write and perform a brief dramatic presentation that incorporates the main rules of Internet Safety:
    • Never, under any circumstances, reveal personal information.
    • Never agree to meet in person, an individual met on the Internet.
    • If you see or read anything that upsets you or makes you feel uncomfortable, leave the site immediately and inform a trusted adult.
    • Communicate with your parents about what you are doing on the Internet.
    • If you are responsible for the care of other children who have access to the Internet, make sure that you are supervising their activities online.
  2. Design a series of word puzzles relating to Internet Safety.
  3. Write and perform a song/rap dealing with the rules of Internet Safety.
  4. Plan a column for your school newspaper on Internet Safety.
  5. Research recent newspaper articles on issues of Internet Safety.
