Task 1 : Internet Safety Pre-Assessment

As a pre-lesson assessment each student will complete a multiple choice written activity based on aspects of Internet Safety.

• Instruct students to complete pre-assessment independently.
  
  
• Use assessment results to determine students' background knowledge prior to further instruction. Record on tracking sheet provided.
  
  
• Compare results to post-assessment at completion of unit.
  

Adaptations

As a modification strategy for Grade Three, ESL/ESD or Special Needs students, teachers may wish to modify the written assessment using visual cues.

Notes To Teacher

• Be sure to preview video before commencing unit.
• Be sure to prebook VCR for viewing of "Caught in the Web" (Total Viewing Time: 18 minutes).
• Review all resource materials provided.
• Photocopy class set of assessment tool, Internet Safety Quiz. Make a copy of the tracking sheet for your own use.
