Toys for Tots Mission Statement

 

Peel Regional Police, in partnership with the Salvation Army and the Canadian Tire Corporation, collect new, unwrapped toys in the last quarter of each year and distribute them to under privileged children, in the Region of Peel, as gifts during the December festive season.

 

Toys for Tots Goals- Short and Long Term

The primary goal of the Toys for Tots program is to serve the needs of financially disadvantaged children in the Region of Peel, by delivering a message of hope and encouragement to them, and their families, in a manner which is meaningful and relevant.

 

Short Term Goals

  • Create more volunteer opportunities for officers and PRP staff
  • To develop heighten awareness of Toys for Tots

 

Long Term Goals

  • Through heightened awareness have more family utilize the campaign
  • More community assistance in collecting and organization of toys (e.g. fire halls)
  • Connecting with the community to foster more financial contribution/donations

 

Objective

 

Given the richly diverse cultural make-up of the Region of Peel, the Toys for Tots campaign aims are to include every child who lives within the Region in the excitement of seasonal gift giving, to unite the community in a common purpose and to contribute to the growth of our community through the development of our youth.
