This is my last year of high school and I want to become a police officer when I have successfully completed university. I was wondering what courses I should take to increase my chances of becoming an officer.

There are no particular university courses which would provide a clear advantage to you. What is important to a Recruiting Bureau Investigator is the effort required to obtain a degree. It is important to consider that positions within the Police service are limited and are very competitive. It may be beneficial to choose a field of interest which parallels Law Enforcement, yet could also assist you in a non-policing career, in the event you are unsuccessful in your ambition to become a police officer.

Examples are, but not limited to, Criminology, Sociology and Psychology.

Recruiting Bureau Investigators also like to see applicants who contribute to and are involved in their community.
