Scam Artist Victims Sought
  

Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Fraud Bureau have arrested a 44 year-old male, in relation to numerous frauds, valued at approximately $500,000.00.
 
The suspect has been operating businesses out of the Peel Region named Fininvest and Spectrum Investments, portraying himself as both a car dealer and a mortgage broker. The suspect would meet his potential victims at various social functions associated to his son’s hockey teams. He would befriend these individuals and defraud them of sums of money, ranging up to $300,000.00.
 
Some of the fraudulent schemes included false investments into condominium mortgages, a casino in the Bahamas and a company which invested in hockey equipment.
 
On Thursday, March 4, 2010, police arrested and charged Steve SITAHALL, a 44 year-old male of no fixed address, with numerous fraud-related charges. He was held pending a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, March 5, 2010.
 
Investigators have located fourteen (14) victims, but believe that there may be other individuals who may have been victimized in the same manner.   Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in identifying any other potential victims.
