Crime of the Week - Mississauga

Mississauga Taxi Cab Robbers Sought

 

 

On September 7th , 2009 at 3:30am,  the victim,  who is a driver for Beck Taxi,  was flagged down by three male parties outside a nightclub in Downtown Toronto.  The male parties negotiated a flat rate to the area of Islington Avenue & Bloor Street in Toronto.   The victim dropped off one male in the area of a high rise building located at 1179 Royal York Road in Toronto. 

 

The remaining two suspects directed the victim to Longford Drive in Mississauga.  At approximately 4:37am, while on Langford Drive, the suspects told the victim to make a u-turn as their residence had already been passed.  At this point one of the suspects stated “Give me your money” and “If you don’t give me your money I’ll stab you”.   The victim turned over cash and the suspects fled eastbound on foot. The victim did not see a knife, however when the suspects made their demand he felt an object in his back through the seat of the vehicle. 

 

The suspects are described as:
1) Male, East Indian, 20-25 yrs, 6’0”, dark pants, black hoodie, black do-rag, possibly armed with a knife
2) Male, East Indian, 20-25 yrs, 5’6”, medium build, red and white spring jacket, dark pants
