VIOLENT TRACTOR TRAILER LOAD THEFT OF XBOX 360 GAMES
Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in identifying suspects in a violent tractor trailer load theft of X-Box 360 games.
On Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 3:58 a.m., approximately 4-5 culprits attended Trans-Send Freight Systems limited, located at 1580 Britannia Road East, Mississauga, operating a tractor-trailer unit. An on-duty security guard allowed them access to the yard as the unit resembled one of their trucks.
The security guard was knocked to the ground by 3-4 culprits described only as wearing dark clothing, dark hoodies with dark coloured bandanas covering their faces. The security guard was dragged underneath a nearby trailer where his hands and feet were bound together with duct tape and bungee cords. Shortly thereafter, the culprits made good their escape with the tractor-trailer unit.
The security guard managed to free himself and noticed that a trailer containing 1368 "Xbox 360" gaming units, valued at approximately $780,000 had been removed from the yard and an empty one left in its place.
The security guard suffered cuts and scrapes to his forearms and knees from being dragged along the ground.
The stolen trailer is a 2007 53-foot air-ride trailer, black in colour, bearing Ontario license plate number "C11 47X." The trailer number "55334" was marked on both the front and rear of the trailer and the company name of “Trans-Send Freight Systems” is written on both sides of the trailer in silver lettering.
