Crime of the Week - Brampton

Release #: 2009 - 08b

BREAK AND ENTER SUSPECTS PREYING ON UPSCALE HOMES

Peel Crime Stoppers wants to alert the public about break and enter suspects preying on upscale homes in Brampton.

On Tuesday, April 28th at 9:30 in the morning, a resident on Larande Court observed a white Astro van idling outside her home.  Upon entering her home the resident observed a male party outside in the process of removing glass from one of her windows.  The male party fled the area as did the white Astro van.  Police canvassed the area and learned that men dressed as construction workers, with white construction hats, were knocking on doors and if someone answered they would pretend to speak no English and would leave.   If anyone observes or is involved in this type of situation, they are urged to contact the police immediately.
