Crime of the Week - Brampton

MISCHIEF TO CN RAIL PROPERTY

 

 

A fire appears to have been deliberately set that damaged some railway equipment in Brampton.  Peel Crime Stoppers is appealing for members of the public to come forward and help solve this crime.

 

On Friday February 19th, at approximately 8:30 pm, police were called to the railway crossing located at James Street and John Street.   When police arrived they found a fuse box in flames just south of the tracks. Brampton fire arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. After a brief investigation police were advised by firefighters that the fire had been ignited by unknown means.  Damage to the equipment box, which contained circuit fuses, was severe. CN rail police continued the investigation and recovered an ignitable liquid which could have been used to start the fire. Click for [YouTube] informational video.
