Crime of the Week - Mississauga

SHOOTING SUSPECT WANTED

 

 

Investigators from 12 Division are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred earlier in November.
 
On Sunday, November 2, 2008, the suspect, 20 year-old Charles AGBAJOH, is believed to have been inside the apartment building located at 30 Hanson Road. At approximately 2:20 p.m., the suspect met with a 31 year-old man in the stairwell, in order to conduct a drug deal. During the transaction, the suspect brandished a firearm, shot the other man in the leg and robbed him of his cash. Emergency services personnel were called by concerned citizens, after hearing the gunshot. 
 
The victim was located by police and taken to an area hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was released several days later and is expected to recover.

 
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Charles AGBAJOH, charging him with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm with Intent and Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order.
 
He is described as a black male, 5’11” tall and weighing approximately 170 lbs. He has a thin build, a dark complexion, black hair styled in cornrows and a metal “grill” on his teeth. He is known to use the alias of Jason HILTON.
