MISSISSAUGA MAN SHOT DURING ALTERCATION

Investigators from 21 Division are hoping the public will call Crime Stoppers to help shed some light on the sequence of events that led to a man being shot.

During the early morning hours of Friday, August 15, 2008, the 25 year old victim and his 20 year old girlfriend were at his residence on Rexwood Road in Malton. The man went outside the rear door of the townhouse for a brief period and when he returned, two suspects followed him into the residence. Both suspects were armed with handguns and immediately confronted the victim and his girlfriend. One suspect assaulted the woman while the second suspect pointed a handgun at the man.

The woman was able to free herself and run out of the home. As she exited, the woman heard 3 to 4 gunshots from inside of the residence. She was able to track down a citizen who subsequently called police. Upon arrival, police located the male victim in a vehicle on the road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A search of the area for the suspects, including the use of Canine officers, was unsuccessful.

The two suspects have been described as:

  1. Male, white, in his late 20’s, 5’ 8” tall with a heavy build and black hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a multi-coloured long shirt and baseball hat. He also wore clear surgical latex gloves and was armed with a black handgun.

  2. Male, white, in his 30’s, 5’ 6” tall with red shoulder length hair. He was wearing jeans, a white muscle shirt and a baseball hat. He also wore clear surgical latex gloves and was armed with a revolver.

The male victim suffered serious injuries from the gunshots, but did survive. The female victim was only slightly injured during the confrontation. Click for [YouTube] video.
