Crime of the Week - Brampton

Release #: 2008 - 12b

KNIFE–POINT ROBBERY FOILED

Although a knife–wielding bandit was unsuccessful in his attempt to rob a store clerk, Crime Stoppers is encouraging the public to make an anonymous call to help the investigators identify the suspect.

On Friday April 11th just before 11:00 in the evening, the lone male suspect approached the clerk at the Adult Video Store on Queen Street. He pulled out a knife and demanded that the clerk turn over the cash from the register. The clerk refused to open the till, so the suspect tried to do it himself. He was unsuccessful in opening the till, and left the store immediately.

The suspect has been described as male, white, 5’ 10” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark coloured winter parka with fur around the collar.
