Release #: 2008 - 09b

VIOLENT GUNPOINT ROBBER’S IDENTITY SOUGHT

Peel Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a number of violent, gunpoint robberies of local convenience stores, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers can help put an end to these crimes.

The suspect is wanted in connection with a series of robberies in Brampton and Mississauga. The most recent robberies occurred on January 23, 2008 between 9:40 and 9:55 in the evening, at convenience stores on Clarence Street and McMurchy Avenue in Brampton. In both of these cases, the suspect was armed with a silver handgun, and in the company of a second suspect who has already been arrested by police.

He is described as male, black, in his early 20’s, 5’ 10” to 6’ tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with a very unique design, including a white skull on the front right chest area, and a large multi–coloured design across the back and left front chest area. He also wore a New York Yankees baseball cap with ear flaps.

Photographs of the suspect, including his unique clothing, are below.
