Crime of the Week - Mississauga

Release #: 2008 - 09a

UNIQUE POWER TOOLS STOLEN DURING BREAK-IN

A large quantity of power tools, unique to the building industry, were stolen during a break–in  at a Mississauga company, and the investigators from Peel Regional Police 12 Division are hoping your call to Crime Stoppers can help recover these tools.

Sometime between Friday March 14th at 5:15 pm and Monday March 17th at 8:00 am, suspects broke in to the FEIN Canadian Tool Company on Traders Boulevard. A large quantity of power tools was stolen and the investigation has revealed that the suspects removed the items through the rear shipping door, using some kind of larger vehicle.

The tools stolen are not for general sale in building supply stores in Ontario. They are predominantly orange in colour, and will have the distinct FEIN logo on them. The types of tools stolen during this break–in include power drills, saws, grinders, screwdrivers and metal cutters.

The public is reminded that if you are in possession of these unique tools that are not sold in a retail market, they may be the tools stolen in this crime, and you could face criminal prosecution.

Photographic images of the tools can be viewed below, or by going to www.peelcrimestoppers.ca and clicking on “Crime of the Week “.
