BRAMPTON MAN STABBED AT KENNEDY ROAD PLAZA

 

 

A 47 year – old Brampton man was stabbed twice in the abdomen and chest while walking through a popular plaza, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers can assist the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau in identifying the assailant.

 

On Friday January 18, 2008 at 11:15 in the morning, the mentally challenged victim left his bicycle chained to a fence and started walking through the parking lot of the Rosedale Plaza on Kennedy Road just north of Queen Street. He was approached, just in front of the 2 – 4 – 1 Pizza, by a male suspect who, for an unknown reason, stabbed the victim twice. The victim then slumped over a nearby garbage can where he was aided to by two citizens.

 

The suspect left the area on foot, but not before stopping to have a short conversation with a group of individuals who had gathered at the plaza. He is described as male, black, 18 – 20 years of age, 5’ 2” to 5’ 5” tall with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey and blue puffy jacket.

 

At the time of this stabbing, the plaza was well populated by students from a nearby high school, as well as other citizens. Investigators are encouraging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
