Crime of the Week - Brampton

VARIETY STORE EMPLOYEE ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

 

 

A man armed with a gun is responsible for robbing a Brampton store clerk, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers can help investigators arrest this suspect.

 

On Friday January 18, 2008, shortly after 7:00 in the evening, the lone suspect entered the Hasty Market on Hurontario Street in the north end of Brampton. At gunpoint, the suspect ordered the store clerk to open the cash register. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands, and placed a quantity of cash and cigarettes into a black knapsack. The clerk was also relieved of some personal monies.

 

The suspect left with the knapsack along a catwalk at the rear of the store. He has been described as:

 

Male, black, 6 ‘ tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a complete set of camouflage pants, jacket and hood, gloves and a black mask covering his face.

 

Investigators believe that this clothing is very unique, and they are encouraging anyone who may have seen this suspect in the area of the Hasty Market that evening to call Crime Stoppers.
