BRAZEN CAR – JACKERS CAUGHT ON TAPE

Two men on a 2 hour car – jacking spree have had their images captured on a surveillance camera, and the Central Robbery Bureau Detectives need your help in identifying these thieves.

This whole situation started on Friday January 11, 2008 at around 3:10 in the afternoon. The two suspects, one armed with a pellet gun, approached a man in the driveway of his Ceremonial Drive home. After shooting the victim in the area of his right eye, the suspects stole his Pontiac Montana.

An hour later, the same two suspects, now operating the Pontiac Montana, bumped the rear of a vehicle at the intersection of South Millway and The Collegeway. When the driver of the vehicle exited to investigate the accident, one suspect stole his Chrysler Intrepid and fled the area, being followed by the second suspect, still in the Pontiac Montana. The Montana was later abandoned on Glen Erin Drive.

A short time later both suspects, now operating the Chrysler Intrepid, bumped the rear of a vehicle at the intersection of Glen Erin Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road. As one suspect asked the other driver to use his cell phone, the second suspect stole the victim’s Honda Accord. Again, both suspects fled the area in the two stolen vehicles.

Images of the suspects were captured on a nearby McDonald’s Restaurant surveillance camera, attempting to use one of the victim’s stolen credit cards. Police are encouraging the public to help identify these robbers.
