Brampton Crime of the Week

A 40 year – old man employed as a convenience store clerk was attacked by three masked men, and Peel Crime Stoppers wants your help in catching these criminals.

On Friday February 22, 2007, at approximately 11:10pm, the victim was working alone at the Hasty Market convenience store located on Red Maple Drive in the City of Brampton.                                                              

The victim observed three male parties enter the store and approach the counter by the cash register. All three males were wearing hoods and had their faces covered. Two of the male parties jumped forward over the counter and grabbed the victim by the shirt. One of the male parties produced a handgun from his jacket pocket and began striking the victim with the gun. The third party ran around behind the counter. 

The victim managed to pull away and activate the panic alarm, and the suspects fled. The victim sustained minor injuries.                             

Suspect #1 is described as male, black and between the ages of 16 and 20 years. He was approximately 5’6” tall and 170 lbs, wearing a black hooded winter jacket with a fur collar, dark pants and shoes and a black mask covering his face. The suspect also wore dark gloves.                                                                    

Suspect #2 is described as male, black, between the ages of 16 and 20 years. He was approximately 5’5” tall, 150 lbs, wearing a black hooded jacket, dark pants and shoes. The suspect wore dark gloves.                                                                   

Suspect #3 is described as male, black and between the ages of 16 and 20 years. He was approximately 6’ tall and 170 lbs, wearing a black winter jacket with fur trimmed hood and orange lining, with a white t-shirt under the jacket. The suspect wore a blue face mask and a red and black knapsack. The suspect also wore dark gloves.
