BINGO PLAYER ROBBED OF HER WINNINGS
Peel Crime Stoppers needs your help in providing information to the Robbery Bureau investigators to help solve a crime where a Brampton woman was robbed of her Bingo winnings.
On Thursday December 6th, 2007, the victim and her husband were returning to their home on Sutherland Avenue, from the BINGO COUNTRY on Bovaird Drive, after having won a substantial prize. As the woman exited the passenger side of her vehicle, she was immediately approached by a male brandishing a handgun. This male demanded the victim’s purse to which she complied, handing over the purse containing her cash winnings.
The male was observed fleeing northbound on Sutherland Avenue in an older model black, “ low rider “ Mazda, driven by a second male.
The male with the handgun is described as 15 – 20 years of age, 5’ 4” tall, with a medium build, wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood covering his face.
The driver of the Mazda is described as male, black, 5’ 8” tall wearing a long, dark – coloured coat and dark baggy jeans.
The victim suffered no physical injuries.
