Crime of the Week - Brampton
Release #: 2007 - 23b
PREGNANT WOMAN CAR - JACKED
Crime Stoppers needs your help in identifying three thugs responsible for violently attempting to steal a pregnant Brampton woman’s vehicle.
On Wednesday July 11, 2007 shortly before 10:00 pm, the 37 year-old victim drove her black, 4 – door Toyota Camry into the driveway of her residence on Majestic Crescent in Brampton. As she exited her car, she was immediately approached by three men, demanding the keys to her car. One man put his hand over her mouth to prevent the victim from screaming, while a second man grabbed a set of keys from her hand. In her attempts to prevent these bandits from stealing her vehicle, she was thrown to the ground.
Upon realizing that the set of keys that one suspect had stolen was not the car keys, all three suspects ran from the vehicle, being chased by a neighbour who heard the cries for help from the victim.
Although 5 months pregnant, the victim sustained no serious physical injuries from the incident.
All three suspects have been described as black, in their late teens, wearing dark clothing.
